Visual Art accepted for each of the regular issues listed above.
Fine Print: All regular issues are fee-optional until we reach 80% of our Submittable capacity. This means that on the 1st of each month, forms will be fee-optional until we have to start charging a fee in order to keep the form open. Whether you pay the fee or not has no bearing on whether your piece is selected.
Weekly Feature: We accept submissions of creative nonfiction and fiction for our semiweekly feature on a rolling basis; we do not accept poetry for this. This feature includes recognition via social media and emails all week, as well as a Q&A post.
Visual Art not accepted for Weekly Feature.
Reading fee: We charge a reading fee for Weekly Features, which helps offset the cost of keeping the website and Submittable running. Submitting for a weekly feature does not guarantee your work will be chosen.
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender expression, age, height, weight, physical or mental ability, veteran status, military obligations, and marital status.
Immediate family members of the board of directors, and the directors themselves, are welcome to submit for publication, but are not eligible to receive compensation for accepted publications.
