  • Flash fiction & essays/creative nonfiction

  • Visual art; please include Artist’s Statement

DETAILS

  • Submissions must be in English, and must be a final product (no drafts).

  • We will only consider work that has not been previously published either in print or online. Simultaneous submissions are permitted for general issues.

  • All accepted authors will be asked to agree to terms before publishing. You own your work.

  • We use Submittable to manage submissions. Emailed and hard copy submissions will not be reviewed.

  • We accept Word docs only (.doc or .docx); Google docs can be exported in this format and attached, even if you do not have Word.

  • Submissions should be appropriate for readers in high school and older.

A note about our fees: Our goal is to make publishing as accessible as possible to writers and artists who may not have resources to pay a fee. Submissions are free until we get close to our monthly cap (about 80%) after which submissions are $3/each. If you choose to pay the optional fee during the free window, it will not affect whether or not your piece is accepted, but it will leave a "freebie" for someone else. Thank you for helping to make sure all writers and artists are able to access our submissions!
